Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management of any shortages or discrepancies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or catering setting
- In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation styles
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred, but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 48 – 60 per week
