POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensure adherence of the gaming operations with all regulatory requirements through observations via the surveillance CCTV systems. Observes, factually reports his or her observations in written documentation with video support. Ensures proper protection of company assets in a pro-active manner.
Observes and reports on all areas under surveillance, to assure compliance with in-house procedures/policies, internal control standards, in compliance with MICS and Gaming Commission regulations inclusive, identification of cheating activities, undesirable, pilferage and embezzlement which is necessary to provide protection of company assets. Reports and properly documents all infractions and or criminal activity immediately to Shift Supervisor and the Surveillance Shift Lead Observer. The Surveillance Observer shall be responsible for the overall protection and safety of the Casino premises, employees and customers via observation mythology and technology.
Accountability includes, but is not limited to, protection of tribal assets and adherence to Department and Company policies and procedures. Works closely and in conjunction with the Surveillance Shift Lead Observer, Shift Supervisor, Manager and Director of Surveillance on all matters related to the Surveillance Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ensure all information is passed on to the incoming shift.

Review previous twenty-four (24) hours shift log entries.

Ensure all recording equipment is in record mode.

Ensure all cameras are working and all areas are properly covered.

Logs in all significant information, not limited to incidents, related to Theft, Suspicious Activity, Risk Managements, Ejections, Employee and Patron Incidents, requested observations, general observations, phone calls, radio calls, large jackpots, machine work orders, powering down and up of gaming machines.

Ensure the Ohkay Casino is adequately protected against embezzlement, or irregular activity.

Ensure all records, merchandise, monies and equipment are protected at all times.

Acts accordingly with security personnel on any incidents and documents any individuals for illegal activity or violations of company, gaming regulations in accordance with MICS

Works closely with the Shift Lead Observer, Shift Supervisor, Manager and Director.

Ensure all incidents are recorded, documented and submitted to immediate Supervisor
- Investigate all unusual or suspicious conditions detected and incidents that occur via surveillance cameras or by video reviews

Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Comply with established safety rules and carry out assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Ensure that all reports are completed and are corrected grammatically and procedurally prior to submission to the Shift Supervisor

Report to work fifteen (10) minutes prior to the start of assigned shift.
- Report to work and access the surveillance room through the established entrance, which is away from the view of casino employees and general public.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school with any combination, college education and or work experience related in the field of surveillance, gaming, or law enforcement, knowledge of camera surveillance techniques, and Casino table games experience is preferred.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of Administrative techniques
