Qualifications
Be a self-starter and able to work alone when necessary.
Be willing and able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Be willing to respond to service calls and work overtime as needed.
Be able to travel for multiple days, as required.
Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift/move up to 75+ lbs.
Ability to work 15'-30' off the ground, with proper PPE
Ability to troubleshoot electrically and mechanically in the shop and field.
Electrical and mechanical aptitude is a must.
Upon interview, candidate must successfully pass a welding test which is a practical test with specific standards appropriate for the job.
Safely use basic power tools.
Understanding and use of conventional measuring tools such as measuring tape, scales, and caliper via both standard and metric measurements.
Mathematical skills for calculations and conversions.
Basic industrial sanding, surface preparation, painting, and finishing.
Brief Description of Normal Tasks
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to ALL applicable safety policies.
Requisition/source materials needed for a job.
Use electrical schematics, if available, and troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment.
Read and understand mechanical blueprints & parts drawings.
Perform and record Preventative Maintenance activities.
Replace dust collector cartridges/bags/valves.
Replace faulty electrical control components.
Service and repair a variety of industrial equipment.
General Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent a must.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are a must.
Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance and/or custom fabrication experience.
Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures including; Lock Out/Tag Out, HazCom, Electrical Safety, Welding & Cutting Safety, PPE/BBP, etc.
Welding Experience
Basic knowledge of metal materials, welding wire/gasses/rods, and welding procedures.
Able to recognize and use proper safety equipment in welding.
Able to recognize and use both mig and stick welding equipment.
Electrical Experience
Ability to safely measure voltage, current, and power in AC and DC circuits.
Ability to utilize appropriate tools & equipment to troubleshoot controls and electrical faults on machinery.
Mechanical Experience
Ability to align, install, and maintain belt drives and pulleys, chain and sprocket drives, shaft assemblies, varied types and styles of bearings and couplings.
Specific Individual "Required" Responsibilities
Follow work orders, fill out required paperwork, and assist when necessary in locating materials.
Safely operate mobile equipment as required to complete assigned tasks.
