Security System Engineer
Duties:
- Security System Engineers shall be responsible for making engineering judgments and developing engineering plans and system arrangements for electronic security systems.
- They may be involved in one or more phases of the development cycle of security systems products or in providing services to external customers.
Education:
- BS degree in electrical, electronic or related engineering discipline or 10 years experience as a system installer/maintainer.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certification from ASIS International a strong plus.
Experience:
- Security System Engineers shall have experience with complex electronic sensor systems that include integrated monitor and control systems, interior and exterior sensor systems, Closed Circuit Television, Access Control, networks and various types of data transmission systems.
Compensation:
- Security Systems Engineers will be paid depending on experience and certification, per established guidelines.
- ASIS certification a plus. NICET, AMAG, Lenel, Software House Certifications a plus.
- IP-based Video Management Systems experience/certification a plus.

Skills:
- Security Engineers shall be familiar with the principles, theories and general body of knowledge of electrical or electronic engineering.
- More specifically, they shall be able to assess unique site conditions, select appropriate integrated protection strategies, implement the strategies with clear and complete engineering plans, and select appropriate and balanced equipment and materials to yield a complete and operable integrated security system for a wide variety of unique customer sites and constraints.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
