Perform preventive and regular maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The
employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or
move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Communicate with all hotel departments to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
- Understand and respond to customer’s needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Carry out preventive maintenance program to ensure facility is maintained and in service for our guests (example: lighting, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, water treatment systems, etc.)
- Maintain repairs in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work independently or as team member.
- Some work is required to be conducted without direct supervision.
Qualifications and requirements
- Two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Professional certification and license if required by law.
- Hotel experience preferred. Must be able to speak local language(s).
- Pool maintenance experienced preferred.
