POSITION: Full-Time F&B Kitchen Supervisor
SUMMARY: The F&B Supervisor is responsible for handling guest interactions with excellent and efficient service in accordance with established standards. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. The F&B Kitchen Supervisor will be a working Supervisor, filling in where necessary. This includes taking over maintaining an orderly kitchen area and all food and beverage spaces setting up and breaking down meeting events, coordinating with sales and front desk, and complying with all departmental policies/standards.
Essential job FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that staff reports to work as scheduled. Document any late or absent employees.
- Coordinate breaks and assign work duties to staff.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are inspected, cleaned, and in proper operational conditions at all times.
- Order supplies and keep inventory as needed.
- Monitor the staffs' interaction with guests, ensuring prompt and courteous service; resolve discrepancies with respective personnel.
Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
Job REQUIRMENTS:
- Command of the English language in order to communicate with guests and employees.
- Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must always ensure a teamwork environment
- Possess strong leadership, motivational, organizational and verbal communication skills.
Working CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 30 lbs. with assistance
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
- Must be able to work in variable temperatures, as kitchen temperatures may fluctuate.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least one year of supervisory experience in food service operations preferred
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must have ServSafe Certification
