Technical Security work to be performed mostly between Baltimore, Maryland, and Manassas, Virginia. Depending upon service requirements, there may be overnight travel monthly in the mid-Atlantic area (Pennsylvania to Southern Virginia)
This Security Integration Technician will be responsible for maintenance and installation of security systems, components, and infrastructure. The systems to be maintained by the Security Integration Technician are Access Control, CCTV, Video Management Software, Intercoms, Alarms, and others. This position is a Technician position and the desired candidate will be self-motivated and will have the skill set to interface directly with the end customer and factory representatives. This Security Integration Technician position will allow the right candidate the opportunity to establish best practices for service engagement in a technical environment. This opportunity is for an individual who can work well both independently and in teams to solve challenging support issues. SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Install CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion hardware, cabling, and other forms of cabling as technology continues to evolve.
- Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as adding card readers, cameras and alarm points to any security integration system.
- Assist in performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty.
- Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems and/or equipment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to answer client calls after normal working hours and on weekend/holidays depending on the rotation order.
- Responsible for updating team lead on the status of all work performed daily.
- Notify team lead daily of any materials needed to complete duties.
- Perform additional Security Technician and related functions as assigned by the team lead and deemed within the general skill and ability level of a productive Security Technician in our industry.
- This position reports to the Senior Security Technician or Operations manager

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 - 5 years previous experience in Security Integration preferably as a Technical Security Installation Technician
- Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion, installation & programming for such systems as Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Feenics.
- Required to adhere to OSHA Safety Standards
- Required to possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during course of employment.
- OSHA 10-hour certification will be made available to each employee
- As appropriate and applicable, become master certified in all product line
- Attend manufacturer training, seminars, conferences, etc when made available by manager to gain professional and technical knowledge
- Attend all team training and safety meetings
- Ability to pass all background checks, motor vehicle record check, and drug screenings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong familiarization of basic electrical fundamentals, Relay Logic and Applied Theory
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to unload ladder from fleet vehicle and climb ladder.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically able to safely lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Must be physically able to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms
- Will frequently be required to walk, sit and use hands to pull cables and wires, use power tools, work in various positions and climb ladders and/or scaffolding
- Position requires the necessary vision to work with small, color coded wiring
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud on occasion and employee may be exposed to outside weather elements.
