Description:
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, other days/hours as needed, may exceed 40 hours a week.
Salary: The base salary range for someone who meets the qualifications for this position is $125,000 to $160,000. The final rate will be determined based on skills and experience, and could be higher with 10+ years of experience. Additionally, Commercial Banking Officers are eligible for the Commercial Banker Incentive Program, with payouts occurring quarterly and annually.
Role: The primary goal for the Commercial Banking Officer is the strategic development of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) relationships. This role involves making prospect sales calls to acquire new Commercial and Industrial loans, owner-occupied loans, and deposit and treasury business.
Additionally, the Commercial Banking Officer will manage a small portfolio of existing clients, primarily conducting annual loan reviews, collecting financial information, and addressing any client needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Achieve defined production goals for loan origination

Make prospect and client calls to establish new business for the bank, focusing on loans within the $500k to $8m range

Critically review, analyze, and structure commercial and industrial loans

Meet with prospects to discuss their needs, outline appropriate services, and resolve issues as necessary

Collaborate with or refer clients to other areas of the bank to fully serve customer needs

Serve as the relationship manager for the customer’s overall relationship with the bank

Meet sales and serve goals established by the Colorado Market President

Call on existing or prospective customers as part of a business development calling program

Provide high-quality customer service and maintain professionalism and friendliness in all interactions

Acquire and maintain general knowledge of all bank products and services to cross-sell and address customer inquiries

Represent the bank at various community functions to enhance its image and develop additional business

Conduct all interactions with internal and external customers in accordance with the CoreFirst Way, which includes the bank’s customer service commitments and experience expectations

Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Commercial and Industrial loans, deposits, and Treasury services

Demonstrated success in booking high-quality commercial and industrial loans

Preferred experience with SBA programs and offerings
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field

Established network of high-quality clients and prospects within the Denver commercial and industrial loan market

Proven track record of success in producing high-quality commercial and industrial loans in Denver

Self-starter with a creative approach to selling
