Working as a Housekeeping Operations Manager, you are responsible for assisting Environmental Services leaders in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. This includes coordinating the tasks of front-line staff, conducting inspections, and serving as a liaison between administration and hospital departments to provide the highest possible level of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling, training and supervision of all housekeeping staff
- Conducts regular inspections and makes recommendations to the facility for improvements
- Participates in the hiring process by interviewing applicants and making recommendations for hire
- Builds positive relationships with hospital staff to ensure we are meeting their needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience leading housekeeping or customer service staff in a hospital, healthcare, restaurant or hotel setting.
- Four year college degree, military experience, or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
Military Transferrable Skills:
- Non Commissioned Officer E4+ with experience in planning, developing and directing logistics
- All military branches with experience of supervising a group of soldiers of 15 or more
- Troubleshoots, isolates and identifies causes of equipment malfunction
- Teaches technical skills to lower grade soldiers
- Prepares costs and labor estimates
