Locations: This role will have shifts spanning across three locations, roughly 20 minutes apart, in Doylestown, Warminster, and Fairless Hills. Flexibility to work at all three locations is preferred but not required.

About the Role:
The Esports Lounge Operator is a pivotal role at Metro Esports, tasked with managing the daily operations of our esports lounge. This includes ensuring the lounge is well-maintained, games are up to date, and a positive, inclusive atmosphere is upheld. The operator plays a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to creating a safe and engaging space for our gaming community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and oversee the intake process, making everyone feel valued and well-informed.
- Regularly update and maintain gaming equipment, including consoles and PCs.
- Monitor the lounge to ensure it remains clean, orderly, and compliant with established rules. Reset gaming stations following use, ensuring equipment is sanitized and well-organized.
- Assist in the organization and execution of community events, such as tournaments, programs, and leagues.
- Enforce lounge rules to foster a respectful and safe environment for all guests.
- Provide support and answer queries to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Address technical issues and communicate any needs for equipment repairs to management.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, manage server settings, and prepare all gaming stations for use.
- Educate guests, particularly parents, on programming, equipment, and policies.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for gaming with a broad knowledge of video games across various platforms.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience in customer service, program management, or a similar role is preferred.
- Must be dependable, timely, and responsible, with keyholder experience.
- Proficiency in technology and software relevant to gaming and lounge management.
Compensation
- 10-25hrs per week with room for growth
- $15/hr standard rate
- Additional hours available for various events, programs, facility rentals, and scholastic programs ($20/hr)
