Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our telemetry unit. As a Registered Nurse - Telemetry, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients who are experiencing life-threatening cardiac conditions. Duties
As a Registered Nurse - Telemetry, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with various cardiac conditions, including acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure. Your duties will include:
- Conducting triage assessments of patients who are experiencing acute cardiac events
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and performing continuous electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring
- Administering medications and therapies to patients with cardiac conditions
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients
- Providing primary care and education to patients with chronic cardiac conditions
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Maintaining knowledge of workers' compensation law and following all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the position is located
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience working in a telemetry unit or critical care setting
- Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures
- Experience with CT scans and other imaging modalities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes
Skills
- Experience with OR procedures
- Experience with dementia care
- Ability to administer dermal fillers
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
