Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Driver Manager to join our team. The Driver Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our driver operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Driver Recruitment and Training: Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified drivers who embody our company values and standards. Develop and conduct comprehensive training programs to ensure drivers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Scheduling and Dispatch: Efficiently schedule drivers for routes, charters, and special events while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime. Coordinate with dispatchers to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
- Performance Management: Monitor driver performance, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and feedback as necessary. Implement disciplinary actions when required, while also recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to all safety regulations and compliance standards. Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and ensure drivers are fully compliant with all relevant regulations and protocols.
- Customer Service: Collaborate with the customer service team to address any driver-related issues promptly and effectively. Maintain a customer-centric approach to driver operations, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for our passengers.
- Fleet Management: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to schedule. Oversee vehicle inspections and repairs, minimizing downtime and maximizing fleet efficiency.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the driver operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance driver performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the transportation or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology for scheduling and dispatch.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
