Freeman Recovery Center is here for those struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. We now have 40+ properties where we can help up to 250 clients at one time.

Admissions Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Purpose:
Under immediate supervision, supports staff in the provision of patient care; including recording vital signs, discussing chief health concerns, performing tests, administering injections, and assisting with procedures and documentation.
General Responsibilities:
1. Measure and record patient’s vital signs i.e.; blood pressure, pulse.
2. Discusses with patient any chief health concerns and records them.
3. Obtains orders from Medical Director for all medication administration; oral, IM, SL, SQ
4. Administers and/or supervises the administration of prescribed medications after ordered by Medical Director
5. Performs any tests (if required for patient care).
6. Keeping medical records current.
7. Wound care (if required for patient care).
8. Prepares and/or administers (if needed), and records prescribed medication.
9. Reports any adverse reaction to medication, reports to supervisor, and notes in medical records system..
10. Keeping electronic medical records (EMR) current.
11. Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on all appropriate forms.
12. Performs other position-related duties as assigned.
15. Ensures that the electronic medical records (EMR) has all prescription information on record and utilizes this in correspondence with each patient’s prescription needs.
16. Filing all prescription information with the Pharmacy(s) for patient medication(s)
17. Assist with scheduling all doctor and/or follow up visits for patient care.
13. Completes required orientation as directed by Freeman Recovery Center, LLC.
14. Follows Freeman Recovery Center, LLC and OSHA safety rules, policies and procedures.
Admissions Responsiblities:
Review all medical records of potential clients, to ensure they meet the programs criteria according to the level of care needed.
Send out for approval from the Medical Director.
Medically assess client upon arrival and complete initial nursing assessment.
Go through all medications to ensure the medications match the prescription on the container.
Put RTC and DTX medications into the MAR, and put PHP and IOP medications into the medication list.
Separate all narcotic medications and communicate with transportation and/or secure medications in Med Room.
Education and Experience, degree and/or Certification required (if applicable):
1. Minimum of one (1) year of Technical Training.
2. Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience.
3. Current license (s), in good standing with the State of Tennessee Licensing Board. 4. Current certification in First Aid/CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogen training. 5. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
6. Interpersonal/human relations skills.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
8. Ability to file and retrieve information in EHR.
9. Ability to adhere to the established departmental policies and procedures.
