**This position requires travel to Tahlequah, Oklahoma.**
Job Summary:
The candidate will be assigned to the OSU CHS campus. The Maintenance Technician for OSU CHS will be an independent position that will report to the Director of Operations for the Tahlequah Campus as well as the Director of Facilities OSUCHS-Tulsa. This position will work closely with OSUCHS Facilities Department as well as with Cherokee Nation Health Facilities Maintenance Department. This position will be addressing day to day operations of the Cherokee Nation-Tahlequah campus. Duties will consist of the position requirements below but are not limited to the list of requirements. This position will require 10-20% travel to our Tahlequah campus.
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
- Respond to Faculty and Staff Maintenance requests
- Strong communication skills
- Conduct property Inspections
- Work Independently
- Set up classrooms, break out rooms, meeting halls, and lobbies for special meetings and events
- Work Collaboratively with OSUCHS Facilities and Cherokee Nation Health
- Facilities Maintenance due to the nature of this position and campus.
- Assemble Office Furniture and other standard office equipment assembly.
- Hang large white boards, bulletin boards etc.
- Make and/or assists with general appliance repairs, carpet repairs and minor
- A/C and electrical repairs
- Performs and/or assist with carpentry work, painting and plumbing duties
- Move appliances, with assistance, using an appliance dolly
- Assist lead maintenance in maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
- Participates in an ongoing property improvement plan and preventative maintenance program.
- Experience operating the computer system to maintain and track service tickets, inventory and maintenance reports.
- Must be prompt, on time to work and have good, regular attendance
- Adheres to and complies with company safety policies and rules. Adheres to OSHA safety standards that are applicable for safe job performance.
- Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor providing excellent customer service
- All other duties as assigned
- Power Tool experience
- Work overtime as needed
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., climb, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger grasp, feel, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6 months’ maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s license
- Ability to travel 10-20%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
