Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Summary: Coordinate and motivate multi-talented production employees in a manufacture. Responsible for maintaining and improving production processes through overseeing teams and equipment. Ensure all manufacturing goes smoothly and efficiently by closely monitoring how employees organize their workflows, to succeed at achieving this goal must be able to analyze production data and offer constructive improvements to optimize production output. Ensure the production process delivers high quality products in the most profitable manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily activities for the operations but problem solving in other areas as they arise.
- Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals.
- Evaluating different stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Ensuring that materials and supplies are in a positive flow
- Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources.
- Properly organize and direct the production staff to achieve a satisfactory workflow.
- Ensure that machines are functional, and the production facilities adhere to safety standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and organize training opportunities for the team.
- Focuses on driving Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
- Maintaining effective communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
- Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting
- Other duties as needed
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred / associate degree or some college background.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish – preferred
- 2-5 years in manufacturing work experience
- 5S hands on experience
- Lean Manufacturing – Standardized work knowledge
- Proven track record within manufacturing management
- Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving), process improvement and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques
- Significant work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Full understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Leadership and conflict management skills
- Full understanding of industry safety standard
- Full understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality

- Must possess good time-management and effective decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately
- Ability to design processes and layouts
Physical demands & work environment:
- Working in a warehouse environment and operate equipment, as authorized.
- Walking / Standing for long periods of time
