Position: Program Manager
Supervisor: Executive Director
Hours: 40 hours/week (Exempt) Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm.
Wage: $35-$37 / hr. Depending on experience

Beacon Village is a rapidly growing grassroots human services organization dedicated to building, supporting, and integrating alternative shelter communities throughout Portland. We are seeking a Program Manager who will assist in developing and managing programs for our transitional housing village.
Responsibilities
- Manage programming for Beacon Village participants.
- Manage day-to-day program operations.
- Oversee participant files and ensure that Beacon Village complies with county contracts concerning HMIS and all other record-keeping policies.
- Provide direct supervision for program staff.
- Assist in the implementation of new programs.
- Assist executive director in long-term planning of village programs.
- Plan and schedule appropriate training and continuing education for program staff.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of village and organizational culture.
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure effective systems for programs.
- Assist the Executive Director in managing policies and procedures for programs that center on equity, accountability, healthy boundaries, and healthy communication.
- Assist in the development of participant-led governance initiatives.
- Lead village meetings and village process groups.
- Develop and implement recovery-centered and self-help programming for villagers.
Physical Requirements
This position may involve physical activities and demands, and will need to be able to fulfill the following physical requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: The ability to lift and carry objects, equipment, or materials of up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and Walking: This role involves periods of standing and walking
- Bending and Stooping: Candidates should be capable of bending, stooping, and performing tasks that require flexibility.
- Manual Dexterity: Adequate manual dexterity and coordination are necessary to handle tools and equipment relevant to the job.
- Physical Stamina: The role may require individuals to maintain physical stamina to meet the demands of the job.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Master’s Degree preferred (extensive social work experience with individuals experiencing homelessness may be substituted for formal education).
- Two years of work experience in a shelter setting or with those experiencing homelessness.
- Two years experience in program development.

Location
This position is located in our village at 621 NE 76th Ave. Portland, Oregon. The chosen candidate must have the legal right to work in this location. We are unable to sponsor visas or relocations at this time. This is not a remote position.
