The Public Outreach and Business Development Manager, will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication plans, building relationships with stakeholders, coordinating outreach activities, and identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement public outreach and communication plans to inform stakeholders about project-related work.
- In collaboration with leadership team develop marketing plan and strategies for target markets/new opportunities.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the firm's capabilities and enhance relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Acquire land easements, authorizations, and release agreements from property owners on behalf of our clients.
- Coordinate and support clients' public outreach activities, including meetings, mailings, and web-based information sharing.
- Create visual and written communications, including printed materials, social media content, and website updates.
- Manage and maintain social media channels, online engagement, and the organization's portfolio of information and events calendar.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, homeowners, HOAs, property owners, legal representatives, industry organizations, and utilities
Job Requirements:
- Excellent organizational, oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans.
- Community outreach/education experience and understanding of local government structure and practices.
- Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organization, time management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build professional relationships and thrive in a collaborative and customer-centric environment.Valid Florida driver's license and ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
- Highly Motivated energetic person willing to travel
- Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, or similar software
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience with water, sewer, and reclaimed water pipeline construction in a public works or municipal environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing, public outreach, or a related field.
- Proven community outreach experience is required
