The IVF Coordinator is responsible for working with patients during the various stages of the in-vitro fertilization process and acting as the liaison between the patients and providers when needed.

Meet with potential patients and existing patients to review the process, options, and expectations of IVF treatment.

Coordinate all infertility diagnostic tests and treatment plans between patients and physicians.

Work with financial coordinators to collect payment for patients.

Create accounts in both WinMed and EIVF for new patients.

Coordinate the activities that are required to initiate the treatment plan, i.e. surgery, IUI, IVF, PGD, etc.

Prepare IVF cycle start list and provide copies to finance and the office manager.

Prepare calendar and schedules for patients.

Maintain patient medical records, including consents and authorizations.

Provide patient education as appropriate, including injection technique.

Confirm that patient/couple has appropriate medications/prescriptions and administer if required.

Assist physician in providing informative and effective communication with patient/couples.

Follow up communication with patients/couples regarding test results, medication adjustments, etc.

File normal lab results in patients’ charts after physician has signed & reviewed results.

Report abnormal results to primary physician and IVF Nurse.

Maintain follow up patient log generated by NP’s seen for potential IVF patients.

Perform routine examinations, procedures, phlebotomy and administer medications to infertility patients.

Provide patient care through ovulation induction, egg freezing, sperm analysis, IVF and oocyte donation.

Assist with retrievals and transfers both pre and post op care.

Demonstrate a strong clinical expertise in all IVF procedures.

Responsible for accurate and timely communication of lab results to patients.

Monitor and stock examination rooms with required supplies.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Must be a Registered Nurse with an active an unencumbered RN license in the state of California.

A minimum of 1 year of IVF experience is required.

Monday-Friday, 40-hours/week with regular rotation for weekends coverage required.

Associate/bachelor’s degree preferred.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in all stressful situations.

Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPPA compliance.

Must be computer proficient and able to learn new systems quickly.

Professional and neat appearance.
-
Skilled in charting and document nursing actions.

Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
