About the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence: The Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE or the Organization) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been in existence since 2015. CSCOE has a two-fold mission: to enhance excellence and increase enrollment in Catholic preschool through eighth grade schools. When formed in 2015, CSCOE’s support focused on schools within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Having demonstrated success within the Archdiocese, CSCOE’s focus broadened in 2022 to encompass all of Minnesota. Potentially unlimited growth beyond Minnesota is projected for the future.
Purpose of Position: Developing, implementing, and assessing the effectiveness of programs that enhance excellence and increase enrollment requires accurate and relevant data. Salesforce is the primary vehicle currently used by the Organization for capturing such information and the Salesforce Developer will perform an integral role in developing and interpreting such data. To make the organization scalable to a national level, all roles must heavily leverage advanced technology, especially AI, to do much more for far less in the shortest amount of time possible.
Duties and responsilities:
The Salesforce Developer will:
1. Leverage technology to a high degree, including but not limited to expertise in engineering AI prompts for maximum productivity and impact.
2. Maximize the utilization of Salesforce within the Organization.
3. Collaborate with all CSCOE Departments to develop and leverage data and achieve Organizational goals
- Collaborate with all CSCOE departments to understand goals and data to help inform a strategy to meet each department’s goals.
- Prepare a written plan to strategically leverage data to achieve Organizational goals.
- Execute and deliver reports and analysis relevant to the Organization’s mission.
4. Inform the Organization’s Overall Strategy
- Identify and regularly report on important patterns and trends that inform the ongoing strategy of the Organization.
5. Collect, Integrate and Analyze Data
- Using state-of-the-art tools including artificial intelligence (AI) where appropriate, optimize data collection, integration, analysis and utilization in measuring and enhancing the effectiveness of the Organization’s programs.
- Develop routines (templates) that can be automated and easily modified for reuse.
- Integrate key constituent data points from various sources (Salesforce, Wealth Engine, Alumni Finder, Website/Social Media) to help inform development strategy.
6. Serve as the SalesForce Content Expert for CSCOE
- Optimize and maintain the Organization’s Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) Database (currently SalesForce).
- Using Python or similar tools, analyze data maintained in SalesForce to ensure such data is used to its maximum benefit.
- Maintain data integrity and security and run queries.
- Understand the expansive capabilities of SalesForce to inform the strategy around greater utilization.
7. Produce Reports and Reconcile Data
- Produce and maintain reports for both internal (staff) and external (board, donors, schools) audiences that provide insights into planning, execution, and effectiveness of CSCOE initiatives.
- Develop metrics that measure the return on investment attained on CSCOE initiatives
- Reconcile data between finance and development on a consistent basis.
8. Be responsive to additional needs and requests from the President that may arise from time to time.
Education and Experience
The Salesforce Developer will:
1. Hold a bachelor’s, master’s or terminal degree.
2. Possess five or more years of experience as a data manager.
3. Be fluent in state-of-the-art computer applications relevant to data creation and analysis. Machine Learning and Deep Learning skills are preferred.
4. Have advanced knowledge of Salesforce and demonstrated competence in its application.
5. Be able to display and communicate data such that it is comprehended and useful to the target audience.
6. Be creative and able to “think outside the box” in developing unique, innovative, and constructive data bases and analytical tools for assessing the Organization’s effectiveness.
7. Be a team player who works collaboratively and effectively with other members of the Organization.
8. Be passionate about CSCOE’s mission of serving Catholic school principals and teachers in achieving excellence in their schools.
9. Have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter.
10. Demonstrate the highest ethical and moral standards in personal and business conduct.
Working Conditions
CSCOE exists to promote Catholic education throughout the state of Minnesota and intends to expand beyond its current boundries. CSCOE’s Data Scientist is expected to be familiar with individual schools that comprise the Catholic school system. Travel throughout the Organization’s area of responsibility may be required. Flexibility in terms of working hours to accommodate evening and weekend meetings and events will also be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
