As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing commercial electrical projects, leading a crew of electricians, and ensuring successful project completion. The company specializes in a wide range of commercial electrical work, including projects in schools, hospitals, retail spaces, and refrigeration facilities.
Electrical Foreman Key Responsibilities:
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures.
- Install various types of raceways and cable tray systems.
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems.
- Lead and supervise electrical crews, providing guidance and instruction as needed.
- Plan and organize daily work activities, ensuring efficient project execution.
- Coordinate with project managers to review project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that may arise during the project.
- Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor and track project progress, reporting any delays or issues to the project manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, time sheets, and safety reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure smooth project operations.
- Train and mentor junior electricians, promoting professional growth within the team.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Electrical Foreman Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience dealing with commercial electrical projects and leading electrical crews.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficient in using electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
