Provider will do admissions, subsequent visits, and discharges for hospitalized patients (there is no ICU care required). Provider will also cover the Residents of on-site nursing homes which includes admissions, acute and routine evaluations for care, discharges.
Hospital averages 3-4 inpatient/observation patients daily and 5 Swing Bed (rehab) patients daily. Nursing home routine visits around 5 per week.
NP will be working independently with supervising physician providing oversight/case discussions Monday-Thursday mornings, and 24/7 when needed.
What is the schedule? Days/Hours?
8a – 8p, 162 shifts per year (after paid time off), includes equal distribution of weekends and Holidays. Two models can be considered. One is 7 on, 7 off. The other model (preferred) is a rotating two 28 day cycle schedule: Cycle 1: work 19/28 days, working Tuesday-Friday first 3 weeks, and 7 days last week of Cycle. Cycle 2: work 9/28 days, working Sat-Monday first 3 weeks, 0 days on 4th week.
There is no required call. The Hospital is covered by the ER physician. The nursing home is covered by night hospitalist at Geneva General by phone.
Compensation scale (for screening purposes) where does it start/cap out at? Compensation includes salary, quality incentive, and loan repayment (addressed below). Salary range based on experience $110-$120k. Quality incentive of $5k year.
