SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, and distributing checks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Reviews, tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory trainings and work assessment. This may include safety trainings, anti-harassment training, etc.
o Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
o Maintains physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
o Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
o Partners with VP of HR as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, brokers, and staffing agencies.
o Create plans for recruiting needs.
o Evaluates employee performance and their pay scale accordingly
o Takes appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
o Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, payroll, performance evaluations etc.)
o Conducts and acquires background checks and employee eligibility certifications
o Assist with payroll and benefits functions.
o Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities
o Process bi-weekly payroll.
o Supervises the HR Administrative position
o Performs other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Typing 45 wpm
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Associate Degree in related field such as business administration is required.
- 1-3 years Human Resources experience in a warehousing, logistics or transportation preferred.
- 2 years Paycom Experience is a MUST

Pay: $76,813.00 - $79,472.00 per year
