About the Position:
Working toward licensure? Lund provides free clinical supervision!

Responsible for recruitment efforts, screening and assessment of potential residential clients.

Present potential referrals to referral team for review, update and maintain residential waitlist and census report.
-
Maintain contact and connection with clients on the waiting list.
-
Provide initial treatment recommendations for new admissions.
-
Responsible for facilitating weekly therapeutic groups, individual mental health and/or substance use disorder counseling, and family counseling when indicated along with corresponding documentation.

Provide integrated co-occurring treatment for pregnant and parenting individuals residing in the Residential Treatment Program at Lund.

Participate in the following:
-
Weekly group supervision with clinical staff.
-
Weekly supervision with Residential Program Coordinator.
-
Required clinical and treatment meetings.
-
Provide formal and informal training opportunities for residential staff regarding mental health and substance use disorder treatment best practices and treatment options.
-
Provides assistance in urine analysis and breathalyzer collection and results interpretation.
-
Participate as part of the on-call team in responding to residential after hours needs.
-
Facilitate treatment groups utilizing evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Relapse Prevention and narrative therapy.

Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.

Ongoing communication with community providers.

Non-Licensed pay at $27.50/hr. Licensed at $33.70/hr.

Other duties as assigned.
What We Look For:
-
Master’s degree in clinical social work or other counseling-based field and minimum of Apprentice Substance Abuse Counselor certificate.
-
Experience working with children, parenting and/or pregnant women, and substance use disorder treatment.
-
Experience in group, family, and couples counseling.
-
Sensitivity to women’s issues.
-
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team player.
-
Familiarity with regulations, laws and procedures of the Vermont Agency of Human Services.

Exhibit theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with systems theory, family dynamics and child and adolescent development.

Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and relapse prevention.
-
Ability to collaborate with other professional disciplines, participate as a team member, complete assessment, treatment planning, maintain records and reports.

Possess flexibility, adaptability to change within program structure.

Demonstrate creativity and initiative as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Possess a value system that includes a nonjudgmental attitude regarding reproductive choice, parenting options, and substance abusing clients. Display caring, responsive, respectful attitude towards others.

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position either with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to maintain a valid VT Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation. Occasional statewide travel may be required.
