Job Overview:
We seek a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment. Experience as a Medical Assistant or the willingness to learn those skills is a plus.
Receptionist Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and identification
- Collect necessary paperwork and ensure all forms are completed accurately and legibly
- Enter patient information into electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Confirm patient appointments and notify medical staff of patient arrivals
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries or direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality policies at all times
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents.
Medical Assistant Duties:
**Patient Care**
- Assist healthcare providers in examining and treating patients.
- Take patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist during examinations.
- Perform EKG's.
- Connect heart (holter) monitors for patients as needed.
Required Skills:
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
