Reports to: Central Dispatch Foreman
Purpose of Position:
Deliver to drill sites, flow stations, gathering centers, drill pads, pipeline access sites and drilling rigs dispatched oilfield equipment, using Hilcorp fleet vehicles.
Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience and Background:
- Must be able to operate a winch truck.
- Must be familiar with a scissor neck fold-down trailer.
- Must be familiar with operating a front-end loader.
- Must be familiar with operating a manlift.
- Must be familiar with operating an excavator.
- Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to make quick and critical decisions while managing multiple sources of incoming and outgoing information.
- Must have knowledge/experience with basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; both oral and written.
- Must be able to identify equipment problems and maintenance needs.
Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:
- Valid Class-A CDL with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath-alcohol test, occupational fitness test, background check, DMV records check and computer-based testing.
- Commitment to proactive, positive, and sustainable HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental) culture.
- Experience in oilfield equipment, hauling equipment within Greater Prudhoe Bay preferred.
- FMCSA registered
Job duties to include but not limited to:
- Equipment includes, but is not limited to, man lifts, loaders, skid steers, tuckers, excavators, graders, trailer mounted generators, dozers, telehandlers, forklifts, etc.
- Drive in the oilfield along pipeline and well site access roads, in remote areas.
- Keep vehicles in clean and reliable condition.
- Motorola Harmony radios are the primary means of communication between Dispatch and user groups. A thorough understanding of radio procedures, protocol and etiquette are required.
- Thorough understanding of policies and procedures and willingness to stop the job if scope changes or hazard is identified.
- Must adhere to all client communication protocols when accessing pads and facilities.
- Must follow all Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures.
- Must follow all incident reporting protocols.
- Must follow all aspects of Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH).
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors in extreme arctic conditions.
- Position staffed day shift, 365 days a year.
