Position Qualifications:
Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Experience: Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Knowledge of appropriate technology and practice standards for area of responsibility. Demonstrates sound clinical skills, understanding of the acute care process, standards of practice and positive communication skills.
Licensure, Registration or Certification: New York State Registered Nurse license required, or permit; current BLS. Staff that are assigned to work in the Emergency Department must complete Non-violent Crisis Intervention training on a bi-annual basis.
All RNs working on a Telemetry Unit must complete a basic Dysrythmia course and competency. All RNs working on a Telemetry Unit must complete ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Our Magnet Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical and intensive care, as well as a commitment to providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to medical emergencies. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a Magnet Hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient's vital signs and other indicators of health.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient's condition and care provided.
- Assist in the development of patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform diagnostic tests as ordered by physicians.
- Educate patients and families on health care topics.
