*Key Responsibilities:
* The OTA would be required to go to the patients home
- Family-Centered Care: Engage families as active participants in the therapy process, providing education, guidance, and support to enhance children's progress and functional outcomes.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities to address children's specific needs, including sensory integration therapy, fine motor skill development, visual-motor integration activities, social skills training, and behavior management strategies.
- Play-Based Interventions: Engage children in play-based activities and games designed to promote sensory processing, motor coordination, fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, social skills, and self-care tasks, while ensuring a fun and motivating therapy environment.
- Adaptive Equipment and Assistive Devices: Assist with the selection, fitting, and use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and orthotics to support children's independence in daily activities and enhance their participation in school, home, and community settings.
Qualifications:
- Occupational Therapy Assistant License from an accredited program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification (NBCOT).
- Specialized training or experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles, sensory processing theory, and evidence-based pediatric intervention approaches.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with children and their families.
- Flexibility, creativity, and patience when working with children who have diverse needs and abilities.
- Commitment to cultural competence, inclusion, and family-centered care.
