Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Light Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in our Albany, GA location. This position is full-time, daily hours do vary depending on the site workflow. Normal hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm, but could vary due to the need.
Responsibilities of this position include troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and controls.

About the Role:
This position is responsible for some installation, all preventative and scheduling maintenance along with all breakdown repairs, to various machinery and equipment including but not limited to; conveying systems, compressors, stretch wrappers, and physical structures (where applicable) by performing the following duties.
What you’ll do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment; including daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Sets up and operates machine tools related to maintenance/fabrication complying with safety and proper use.
- Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from projects as necessary.
- Maintain well-documented system of maintenance and repair records.
- Source materials and /or equipment needed for maintenance.
- Participates in building and facilities maintenance and repair (if applicable by site).
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Our Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electricity or similar Certification preferred
- Certified Materials & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) a plus
- NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety Certification a plus
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Forklift Certification or successful completion within 90 days of employment required
- 1+ years of relevant work experience in machinery electrical experience required
- 1-2 years of related experience in light industrial machinery maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Knowledge of 110V 3 phase power required
- Knowledge of ladder logic a plus
- Knowledge of hydraulics a plus

- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
- Employee is required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
