GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Vice President, the Driver Services /Compliance Manger is responsible for coordinating and conducting weekly new hire driver orientation, supports safety and equipment compliance and facilitates driver retention strategies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Schedule and coordinate all driver pre-employment exams including DOT drug screening, ergonomic assessment, and DOT Physicals for all driver candidates.
- Arrange transportation for driver candidates to terminal and from arrival points.
- Administer and grade pre-employment driver road tests.
- Introduce Tribe's policies, culture, and best practices to all new driver candidates.
- Coordinate with all applicable company departments to provide a comprehensive orientation.
- Formulate and distribute driver packets including all new trip and tractor materials to comply with all federal and state DOT regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance for equipment inspections and asset assignments for all incoming driver candidates.
- Order and report all driver and owner operator MVRs on a bi-annual basis.
- Coordinate with safety to schedule, track and manage the quarterly required DOT random drug and alcohol screens to remain in compliance with FMSCA requirements.
- Supervise and track use of company driver van.
- Shuttle driver candidates and current drivers as needed locally.
- Act as a driver liaison for new drivers from orientation through their probationary period.
- Assist Express and Cherokee National team with all new truck acquisitions and new hire requirements.
- Enters new hires into TMW to enable new hires to move to dispatch.
- Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
