Fastens together preformed parts to assemble a variety of small and large washing machines in the Door model product line using hand tools.
Aligns holes, inserts screws or bolts, and tightens with nut runner or power screwdriver to assemble preformed panels and support brackets to base.
Bolts sub-assemblies, such as motors, pumps, control panels, blowers, and doors, using wrenches and power nut runners.
Aligns doors, brackets, racks, and moving parts such as conveyor before tightening to achieve appearance, fit and movement specified. Installs piping and plumbing fixtures for washing machine using working drawings.
Performs standard test of completed machines for leakage and proper operation..
Wires control panel using hand tools with pre-assembled harnesses.
Makes electrical connections on components for final electrical assembly using nuts and slip-on connections. Rework of existing control cabinets to meet production requirements.
Must possess basic mechanics tools.
Communicate effectively verbally and written.
Regular attendance required.
Reasonable overtime work required.
Perform other associated responsibilities as directed.
Works throughout the cell to balance requirements and workload including some fabricating, spot welding and polishing.
