We are currently looking for an experienced SLP with a Texas license. This position will serve children, teens and adults ages 5 and up ONLINE. We are specifically looking for a therapist that has a background in oral motor, feeding, swallowing and orofacial myofunctional therapy.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities.
DUTIES
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide therapy sessions to improve patients' speech, language and swallowing skills
- Assist patients with swallowing difficulties through therapy techniques and exercises
- Refer and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the treatment process
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving communication and swallowing abilities
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in speech therapy (specifically orofacial myofunctional) techniques and technologies involved with these therapies
SKILLS
- Customer service and service recovery skills are required to effectively meet the needs of patients, families and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Flexibility and ability to manage work-flow in a changing environment
- Open mind and willingness to learning new treatment modalities to provide the best patient care
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical skills are required to evaluate patients and their response and treatment
REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Experience in case management and patient assessment
- Ability to work effectively with patients ages 5 and up with various backgrounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
