About the role
We are looking to grow our Creedmoor operation with a Welder who will provide Field Services on new installations of Drilling Rigs, and ongoing maintenance and support for existing operations. We will provide training and certification to get you to the level we need you. You just need to bring key skills and experience and a strong work ethic. The home office for this role is Creedmoor, TX. Work sites will be mostly inside Texas, but may include travel to Oklahoma, New Mexico, or Colorado.
This job is ideal for someone who:
- Is dependable - more reliable than spontaneous.
- Can travel to remote drilling sites frequently with some overnight stays.
- Has a high stress tolerance - thrives in a high-pressure environment.
- Has solid Welding experience and knowledge and wants to gain specialized training and certifications.
Has previous military experience; or experience in oilfield or water well drilling.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings, take / read measurements, and plan layout and procedures.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not comprise safety.
Connecting structural steel components.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder for a minimum of (3) years.
- Experience with MIG welding is required. Some experience with TIG welding is a bonus.
- Experience with Vertical Welding is a strong plus.
- Ability to operate and work on aerial work platforms.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Ability to travel as described.
- You must be fully authorized to work in the United States without additional documentation from the employer.
- You must pass a drug screen and be able to pass ongoing random drug screens.
