Senior EMR Support Specialist
Job description
We are seeking a senior qualified professional to maintain and enhance the Electronic Medical Records (“EMR”) System used at eight (8) Sexual Health clinics. The clinics provide Sexually Transmitted Infection (“STI”) testing, treatment, and preventative counseling; contraception; substance abuse screening and intervention; and behavioral health programs targeted at reducing the risk of STIs.
Scope of Work
This candidate will have the responsibility for delivering maintenance and enhancement support of the application. Maintenance support includes, but is not limited to, system troubleshooting (both EMR and Patient Portal), review of SQL code changes, bug fixes, security support, database upgrades, AppScan support, vulnerability scan support, testing (unit, regression, and interface), deployment support, and post-production support. Enhancement support includes, but is not limited to, requirements documentation (business, functional, nonfunctional, and technical), system design documentation, test script updates, and training material updates.
MANDATORY Requirements
Must have the capabilities to facilitate patient registration and scheduling, medical history tracking, integration with internal and external labs (PHL and Northwell) for orders and results, patient portal activities, patient notifications through SMS, database and application reporting, data storage, and integration with other middleware such as Message Broker, JMS, the agency billing system, SSIS, and more.

- Select tests sent to PHL and referral labs
- Select few tests sent to Northwell
- Cerner LIMS will replace STARLIMS for PHL Labs in 2024
- Billing data to e-billing (not RCMS) middleware
d. SMS from to Patients using ‘email-to-SMS’ gateway address of the mobile carrier
SPECIAL MANDATORY INSTRUCTION
Please provide your past seven (7) years that include a minimum of five (5) years of experience successfully implementing, supporting, and maintaining EMR modules for management of patient data and workflows, as well as 5 years implementing technologies using HL7 and FHIR standards.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $100.00 per hour
