Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech and language disorders. You will work with neurologically impaired patients to improve their communication skills and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide therapy sessions to address speech articulation, fluency, voice production, language comprehension, and expression
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques and tools to facilitate communication skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication outside of therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
