Learn how to become a Table Games Dealer! Dive into our Dealer Trainee Program starting July 30, 2024. From Tuesday to Friday, over 6 electrifying weeks, we’ll transform you from novice to table games titan!
Master the Art of Blackjack and Baccarat. Conquer the classics! We’ll arm you with the skills to deal blackjack and baccarat, ready to impress at your audition and earn a part-time gig dealing games at the MGM National Harbor.
THE STARTING RATE: $15/HR

- 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- 4:00 pm – 12:00 am
SKILLS OFFERED:
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Learn the ins and outs of Baccarat, from the different types of bets (Player, Banker, Tie) to the card values and hand totals.
- Understand the drawing rules for the third card and become a pro at predicting the next move.
- Perfect your shuffling and dealing skills to keep the game flowing smoothly. Learn how to spread and display cards with flair. Get hands-on with cheques (casino chips) and manage the bankroll like a seasoned dealer.
- Ensure the game is fair and fun for everyone by monitoring the action and handling disputes with ease. Keep track of commissions and payouts accurately to keep the excitement going.
- Enhance the player experience with top-notch customer service and clear communication. Maintain a professional yet friendly demeanor to build rapport with players and keep them coming back for more.
- Sharpen your math skills to calculate payouts swiftly and accurately. Understand the odds and house edge to keep the game exciting and fair.
- Get to know the casino’s policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations. Understand your role within the broader casino environment and contribute to a fun and safe gaming experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Excellent in math.
- Has a strong presence or impressive demeanor.
- Ability to attend all training classes.
- Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.
- Works well under pressure.
THE DAY-TO-DAY UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM:
- Ensure that all activities reflect the policies, philosophies, and regulations of MGM and the local Gaming Control Board.
- Perform acts of dealing several game types.
