Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for an Optometric Technician. The Optometric Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks in the medical office, including but not limited to conducting preliminary tests, gathering patient history, performing measurements, organizing patients’ appointments, and communicating with patients as needed. Perform pre-testing procedures such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception tests. Conduct diagnostic tests such as retinal imaging, OCT, and visual field. Assist with contact lens fittings and teach patients how to properly insert, remove, and care for their lenses. Experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the necessary skills if candidate possesses the ideal characteristics
Qualifications:
Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills to liaise with patients
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours
Works well with a team and reliable
Flexibility to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Pay will be starting at $15/hr or higher for well qualified candidates.
