The Office of Student Life is focused on building a strong foundation to ensure every student's Indiana University experience is positive, safe, healthy, and meaningful. The Office of Student Life staff and departments aim to help students navigate their time at IU, providing the tools they need to be successful in school and after graduation. Students are our priority, and their health, safety, and overall well-being are our core mission.
Within the Office of Student Life, the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) has been the heart of the Indiana University Bloomington campus for more 100 years. The Union provides programs and services that help students and others feel like they are welcome and connected to Indiana University. The Student Involvement and Leadership Center plays an essential role in the Union and University's efforts to make every IU student feel like they belong.
The Student Involvement and Leadership Center fosters growth and learning among all students by designing and supporting inclusive experiences and engaging opportunities that connect those we serve with the campus, the community, each other, and themselves. Housed within the Indiana Memorial Union, the Center is home to several programs that engage the student body including student organization support, advising of key University Student Organizations, leadership programs, and Late Nite programs.
