W.C. Rouse and Son, Inc., is currently seeking a candidate for an Outside Sales Representative, covering the state of South Carolina, to support boiler room equipment sales efforts by maintaining relationships with existing and devolving new customers. This position will be based out of Columbia, SC (must live within or be willing to relocate to South Carolina, but location within SC Sales Territory is flexible).
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with prospective customers
- Strengthen and grow relationships with existing customers (Engineers, Contractors, End-Users)
- Becoming an expert in our equipment and Service Lines – continuous improvement and education
- Supporting and nurturing relationships with equipment manufacturers and component vendors
- Project Management Oversight of all sold jobs
- Reviewing plans and specifications for relevant equipment and services
- Equipment sizing for boilers, heat exchangers, pumps and other related mechanical equipment
- Developing scopes of work for inside sales support personnel
- Continuing education in relevant technologies
- Proposal preparation, when needed to supplement Applications Engineer, to meet customer needs
- Exemplify company Core Values and Purpose to other employees and customers
Key Outcomes:
- Continuously logging and maintaining activities and opportunities in our CRM (Salesforce)
- Meet quotas for opportunity creation ($’s), per month, as follows: Total – $2M per month, Quote Funnel at $5M+
- Continuously maintain Close Dates and Stage for Opportunities
- Achieve Basis-of-Design on 10+ Opportunities per year
- Contribute a minimum of total revenue generation, after 90-Day Trial/Training, as follows: First 15 months $1.0MM, 2nd full year, $1.5MM, 3rd year and beyond $2.0MM+
- Maintaining relevant opportunity and job information in cloud-based file storage solution

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equal industry related experience
- Mechanical Engineering Degree a plus
- Experience selling Industrial/Commercial HVAC/Steam Equipment a plus
- 1-3+ Years' Sales Experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office products
- Desire to succeed and be a part of our family, especially long term
- Valid Driver’s License
