G&J Marketing and Sales exists to promote the success of everyone we touch with PRIDE. Since 1984, we have been an industry leader in the sales of food, office coffee, and technology services, selling to a broad base of operators, distributors, and national accounts. We are currently seeking two sales candidates for the Southern California territory who embody the values unique to our culture. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will take over a well-established market, servicing the existing customer base and meet sales growth goals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & ATTRIBUTES
- Manage existing accounts.
- Utilize a consultative selling process to seek opportunities based on customers’ needs.
- Establish new accounts.
- Prepare, plan and organize to execute a quality sales call.
- Knowledgeable of price lists, product literature (including features & benefits), plus promotional programs.
- Maintaining and submitting reports on time.
- Problem identification, developing solutions and understanding the needs of the customer in order to build and maintain the account.
- Continued professional growth through attending conferences, trade shows and establishing personal networks, and / or participating in industry / professional associations.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
- Sales experience with a food broker / food manufacturer / office coffee or distributor is a plus.
- Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas (preferably for multiple customers).
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to develop and execute a sales plan should be demonstrated.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint), CRM experience, iPad and smartphone competency, and capable of learning and implementing new technology as added.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
