As a Redline Coordinator at Udelhoven, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of construction documentation by managing redlines. Your primary focus will be on gathering redlines from various sources, verifying their accuracy, adding in drafting updates to the Master Redline set as needed, and
[MJ1] organizing them within the appropriate subsystems. The right candidate will be able to collect various formats of redlines and compile them into a single document that will lead to a document revision. This position requires attention to detail, computer skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams.
Duties:
- Redline Collection[MJ2] :
- Collaborate with field personnel, engineers, and contractors to collect redlines (revisions) related to construction projects.
- Gather redlines from as-built drawings, field notes, and other sources.
- Navigate and understand construction documents and redlines of varying quality and compile them into one useful redline document that will go in for revision.
- Verification and Accuracy
- Thoroughly review redlines to ensure they accurately reflect changes made during construction.
- Verify that redlines align with project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Subsystem Organization
- Categorize redlines based on the relevant subsystems (e.g., electrical, mechanical, structural)..
- Maintain a systematic approach to organizing redlines for easy retrieval and reference.
- Document Control:
- Create and maintain a centralized repository for redlines.
- Ensure proper version control and traceability for each redline.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and quality control personnel.
- Communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies and address any issues related to redlines.
- Fast-Paced Environment:
- Adapt to the dynamic pace of project completion activities.
- Prioritize redline processing efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in construction projects, document control, or redline management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with construction drawings and terminology.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in using document management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
