The chosen candidate will assist the Food Services Director and Sous Chef in all aspects of food preparation, sanitation, resident satisfaction, and proper food handling.
Some of the Essential Duties assigned to this position include meal preparation according to planned menus, including any special diet requirements, and ensuring that the food is palatable and appetizing in appearance; food service according to portion control; compliance with established regulatory and company policies & procedures; clean and sanitary maintenance of the kitchen area; orientation of food service for residents and staff, as requested; coordination with other departments to ensure the highest quality of life for residents; compliance with food storage guidelines, assurance of kitchen and dining room cleanliness -readiness for next-day service prior to closing the Food Service department for the evening; compliance and accountability for federal, state, and local regulations; presents emotional composure at all times - remains calm in all situations; avoids the use of harsh or vulgar language in the presence of staff or residents; and completes other duties and responsibilities your supervisor may assign you.
