Position Summary:
The Silicone Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up and operating extrusion equipment, handling raw materials and product movement, packaging and labeling, and monitoring and identifying quality issues to achieve required quality standards.
Primary Functions:
- Set up and operate extrusion machine to produce high-quality products.
- Use machines and tools such as roll mill, chiller, extruder, gear pumps, fork truck, hand tools, scales, tape measure, ruler, thermometer, and personal protective equipment.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper product specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Package and label finished products.
- Drive a lift truck and take the raw materials and finished products to their destination.
- Identify opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process, and work with team members to recommend and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot problems, and communicate with supervisor on any process changes or problems.
- Champion safety, company culture and ethics.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating roll-mill and extrusion machines, or similar equipment
- Experience working in a clean room environment preferred but not required
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as:
- Safely navigating a manufacturing environment
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and frequent bending and stooping
- Using tools and equipment, with ability to be forklift certified.
- Perform frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Push work in process, which could exceed 25 lbs.
- Use of both hands to safely operate equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
