Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our Special Education Math/ISP Resource team for a
12-week assignment from approximately
October 16, 2024, to January 27, 2025. Become a valued member of our child-centered, collaborative team in Bensenville! We are looking for potential candidates who are well-versed in addressing the academic, social, and emotional needs of middle school students. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, adaptable, and skilled at supplementing general education grade-level content to meet the needs of students identified with special education requirements.
PAY RATE: $250/DAY
Qualifications:
- Professional Educators License
- Special Education Endorsement
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be an effective member of a team
- Commitment to data-based decision making and the continuous improvement model
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Create and deliver engaging math lessons tailored to various learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support student success.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the district.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written, diagram or oral form.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
