MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The garage sale Vintage Bar manager is a member of the leadership team and acts as the store’s Assistant Manager. The Bar Manager should demonstrate the highest level of hospitality and assists the Store Manager in providing guests the best shopping and bar experience available.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-BAR
- The Bar Manager is responsible for ensuring the top quality and consistency for all food and beverage at the GSV location
- Manage Food and Beverage Bible
- Drive food, beer, wine, mocktail and coffee sales
- Maintain given bar margins and monitor F&B sales weekly.
- Be aware of customer intoxication levels and be comfortable with removing unruly customers.
- Oversee all F&B training and procedures to ensure all GSV guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Oversee the GSV food program.
- Oversee and implement GSV coffee and espresso program.
- This position is 100% responsible for any staff member who does not ID. Asking for an ID is not an option. Any staff member who serves without asking for an ID is subject to immediate termination by any member of management.
- Assist the store manager in scheduling to ensure all bar staff are trained properly and prepwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure bartenders are fully trained in mixology, prepwork, and checklists.
- Order all bar and store supplies: liquor, beer, wine, mixes, bags, cleaning supplies, etc. for the entire store.
- Responsible for maintaining the bar’s beginning and ending inventory that should be submitted to the Director of Operations monthly. All ordering must be monitored and budgeted alongside this inventory.
- Create and price out new drinks and specials for all stores.
- Keep bar fridges fully stocked. No fridge should look or appear empty.
- Responsible for maintaining bar merchandising to the standards set by the Store Merchandising team.
- Oversee bartender training to ensure all new hires are well versed with sales incentives, slogans, and promotional procedures.
- Sit in on bartender interviews. Give input and ask questions to help ensure the top candidates are hired.
- Helps the store manager lead monthly team meetings.
- Schedules interactive tastings/classes with reps for bartenders to learn about our beers, wines and spirits.
- Fill in for Store Manager in their absence.
- Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week in store, during nights, weekends and holidays.
Assistant Manager Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to sell!
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
- Experience with merchandising software systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Square.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A love of retail and Vintage is a major plus!
- Must be able to fill in for Store Manager in absence.
- Must be available to work nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Must be able to lift 15-30 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
