Scenic Ridge Company, located in the heart of Lancaster County PA, provides design-build and pre-engineered commercial and industrial metal buildings, including fabrication, erection, concrete services and building maintenance. Truck Driver/General Maintenance
Scenic Ridge Company is seeking a full-time Truck Driver/General Maintenance to transport equipment and materials according to pre-determined schedules by the dispatcher.
Essential to the role are:
- To maintain accurate DOT logs.
- Understand air brake systems if vehicle is equipped with the system.
- Safely load and unload all equipment/materials over all terrains and properly secure all loads.
- Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicle.
- Maintains radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to a new location.
- Keeps record of materials and products transported.
- Cleans and inspects vehicles.
- Operates equipment to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
- Obtains customer signature or collects payment for goods delivered and delivery charges as needed.
- Supervises loading and unloading equipment.
- Completes cargo or material damage reports.
- Notifies dispatcher or company mechanics of truck or trailer in need of repair or inspection.
- Routine fueling, lubricating, and servicing of vehicle and equipment.
- Provides accounting with proper customer, job, and hauling labor hour information for billing purposes.
- Follows all state and federal regulations applicable to vehicle being operated.
- Assists Facilities Maintenance Foreman with general property maintenance.
- CDL Class A with air brake required.
- Performs general property/facilities maintenance and repair as directed by Facilities Maintenance Foreman.
Successful applicant will be required to work 8-10 hours in a field and shop environment and would be based on a 40+ hour work week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
