Appian Developer Job Description
The Appian Developer will be working as part of the company’s agile development team that provides BPM consulting services to clients across the globe. Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, you will be interacting with customers daily as part of their internal design and development team to help solve their challenging business problems, create innovative solutions, and implement innovative ideas to provide true value to the customer.
Your primary responsibility will be to work throughout the entire project life cycle to define, design, develop and implement custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform. This includes understanding our client’s business processes and technical needs, developing APIs to integrate with multiple systems. You will also drive adoption, collaborate with client’s technical teams and business users as needed throughout the entire software development life cycle.
Role requirements:
Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, the responsibilities of an Appian Developer include:
- Requirement gathering and analysis.
- Design and develop technical solutions on the Appian BPM Suite based on the requirements gathered.
- Design integration requirements with other third-party platforms.
- Defining architectural & development standards for the project in adherence to Appian and client’s best practices.
- Performing frequent code reviews & ensuring quality of the overall delivery.
- Interacting with customers daily and be the main point of contact for customer
- Presenting demos to the customers.
- Running all major sprint events.
- Planning on project releases
- Lead User Acceptance Testing with business users, BA
- Able to do the Appian application deployments.
- Able to work with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- History of success on cross-functional teams; experience building products using agile methodologies (grooming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints).
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, experience working with relational databases and data modeling.
- SQL skills (writing queries, joins, views, etc.)
- Integrations experience using APIs such as REST and SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services; familiarity with Database, Developer Tools.
