The Maintenance Assistant for our community supports the Maintenance Director to ensure proper, consistent maintenance of our senior living community.
Essential functions of the job are:
- Support proper and consistent maintenance of facility exterior, including building, lawn, flower beds, walkways, driveways, and parking lot.
- Support proper and consistent maintenance of facility interior, including resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchen.
- Assures all equipment and supplies related to maintenance tasks are stored appropriately and safely.
- Assures Maintenance Director is regularly informed of facility status and particularly of any significant problems for which guidance is necessary.
- Assures all equipment and supplies related to maintenance tasks are stored appropriately and safely.
- Demonstrates safe working practices at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or apartment maintenance preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret administrative regulations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
