Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. As a Licensed Professional 2Counselor, you will provide mental health counseling and support to individuals with various needs. Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address a range of issues, including gender issues, developmental disabilities, chronic pain, and crisis intervention
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, such as art therapy, dance therapy, and clinical counseling, to facilitate healing and personal growth
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of mental health counseling
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Qualifications:
- Valid license as a Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.
- Master's degree in Counseling or a related field
- Experience in providing mental health counseling services
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health disorders and treatments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
