Whitman Consulting Organization, Inc. (WHITCO) provides Construction Management and Inspection Services throughout the oil. gas and utility industries. We are currently seeking and experienced and qualified Business Development Manager to join our Team.
Position Summary
WHITCO is seeking motivated candidates to drive business opportunity and growth. The Business Development Manager is in charge of developing and implementing marketing and business strategies to achieve Company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and support marketing and business development strategy
- Prepare marketing materials (e.g. presentations, brochures, info graphics etc.)
- Perform Market research to establish new business opportunities
- Implement marketing strategies
- Actively research project opportunities through networking, personal relationships, cold calls, reading of publications, attending community events, and participating in industry organizations.
- Create and present effective presentations to existing and potential clients
- Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, local industry events & meetings, and education seminars
- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
- Maintaining current client relationships and identifying potential growth opportunities
- Researching trends and creating new opportunities to increase sales
- Collaborating with sales and account teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
- Maintaining a strong understanding of products and services, and innovating new ways to serve businesses
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
- Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
- Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
- Finding and developing new markets and improving sales
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients
- Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met
Position Requirements:
- 5 (+) years of experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development in Oil & Gas related field
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Self-Motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive
- Willing to travel as necessary to support Company goals and growth
