We are currently looking to hire a Corrections Food Service Leader 2 at Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake School. Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake School is located in northern Wisconsin and close to the following cities: Merrill, Tomahawk, Wausau and Rhinelander
The Copper Lake/Lincoln Hills facility in Irma, WI will be going through a transition in the future and will continue to stay open. We are looking for employees to help us through this change and continue to build their careers with the Department of Corrections. This transition will provide many opportunities to continue to work with juveniles or adults.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for food production lead work. General responsibilities include: the preparation and distribution of the food, including special diets, for the youth and staff of the facility; maintenance of a safe and sanitary food service area; care for and clean kitchen equipment; plan meals and procure supplies; maintain food inventory; maintenance of security in the food service department; and training of new youth workers and food service staff in all facets of operation.
Salary Information
The CFSL 2 is in pay schedule and range 03-12 with a starting pay of $21.10 per hour. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensations Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Qualifications:

- Proper methods of food handling.
- Use of standardized recipes.
- Use and care of kitchen tools and equipment.
- Materials, methods, and equipment used in large-scale food preparation.
- Methods of leading food preparation activities on a large scale efficiently.
- Quantity cooking in an institutional setting.
